Mogul is a research lead and process orientated design studio. We like to know how we're going to get to our destination, and we'd like you to know how we're going to get you there too.
Mogul's process breaks down into four activities throughout a project cycle.
Research
finding out who you are as a business, and what you want to say
Brand
finding a way to say it, and for others to see it
Make
we build and test and build and test
Release
your product goes out into the wild
We like to think of these steps as being part of a cycle. After a product or project is released, we begin again looking for ways to help improve for the next upgrade, update or campaign.
Read a little more about each part of the process below.
Research
We start with a process of researching your business and your goals and you. This is where we help the business do some soul searching. Here’s some ways in which we conduct our research:
Discovery Days, Stakeholder Interviews, Competitor & Market research, Brand Audit Report
Brand
We develop your brand identity based on our research outcomes and the desired direction of the business stakeholders. Here’s some of the processes we will implement during the branding phase:
Defining Key Messaging, Designing Visual Identity, Concepts Presentation, Brand Guideline Development, Copywriting
Make
We bring your project to life. Depending on the nature of the project the manifestation of each of of the following stages might be different, but the process is the same throughout:
Prototyping and testing, Materials and assets finalisation, User Acceptance Testing
Release
Your product is released to the public, into the wild, it sets sail… But that’s not goodbye.
Because we want to get your product and project to the public as fast as possible, and start building on that, we often release in iterative cycles. In web projects for example we will release a powerfully branded website that tells your story, before moving on to the next cycle. This gives us the benefit of seeing how your stakeholders react to the new proposition, and allows us to react in future releases.
We have our eyes on the horizon of digital technology and design. We will always be looking for opportunities for your business to leverage the newest products and trends - whether that’s understanding new social networks, popular communication channels, or technical expectations from visitors and users.
